Visual arts at Cornerstone
Entry to the visual arts gallery is absolutely free, so you can drop in any time. This season there are three diverse exhibitions by local artists for you to enjoy. What kind of visual arts inspire you? Don’t forget to share your thoughts in our comments folder! There are exhibitions in the gallery and window wall by local contemporary artists, arts groups, and organisations.
Calling all designer-makers and crafts people, YOUR ARTS CENTRE NEEDS YOU to make our the CRAFT FAIR really special.
Do you make jewellery, greetings cards, toys or ceramic pots? Whatever your craft, would you like to sell your work at our craft fair on Saturday 23 and 24 October. It costs just £48 for a stall for the two days. Admission to the public will be free and the event will be well promoted to encourage local people to come down and support local artists and crafts people and buy unique items. Please download the application pack in the green box, fill it in and send it to cornerstone@southoxon.gov.uk clearly marked Craft Fair Application.
Lucy Gabrielle

Lucy is a young artist who creates bold canvases by applying paint to the surface using a variety of utensils, including sponges, cutlery, scrapers and her fingers.
‘I have been diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome, which is a type of autism where people find social communication and interaction difficult. In everyday life I like things to be predictable, ordered and not out of control. In my paintings I show people a different aspect of me.’ Lucy Gabrielle

Andrea finds beauty in every season, from the bleak sunlight on a snowy winter scene to frothy cow parsley in country lanes in spring; the manicured English garden in summer to the vibrant hues of foliage in the woodlands in autumn. Andrea’s exhibition, created in oils and soft pastels, takes you on a journey through the seasons.
