Family time at Cornerstone

Whether you’re coming to see an exhibition together, or take part in a class or workshop Cornerstone is, we hope, truly family friendly. And one of the ways that this is best displayed is through our family and children’s live shows in the auditorium.

We are so delighted that people come in their droves to these. Many of our family shows take place on a Sunday afternoon so you can have an early lunch – maybe in the couture café bar – and then come to a show together. The perfect thing to do on a Sunday afternoon once in a while instead of the ironing or the garden centre!

The shows themselves are enchanting, inspiring and often unique. Whether it’s an intricate simple puppet show or a big company presenting their mesmerising take on Shakespeare, or a poignant tale about families, a show at Cornerstone is the perfect way to introduce your child to the theatre and for generations to enjoy an afternoon out together – and to have something to talk about when they get home afterwards.

We also present our very popular cushion concerts as a way of getting little ones used to classical music and its instruments. And get ready for our second family Christmas show which this year is Beauty and the Beast!

When you come to Cornerstone you can be assured of an all round friendly and nurturing welcome – whether you need a booster seat for your child, or would like to drop in and doodle before the show – the whole experience should be smooth and fun.

There's lots to do over this Summer (see the download of our Wish You Were Here poster in the green box) and plenty more below to see during the Autumn season. See you soon!
